Ron is the founder of Oceans NG, the predecessor to Bedrock. As a fourth-generation oilman and life-long entrepreneur, he has built many companies and has received Oklahoma’s Most Promising New Business award. He now serves as president of Bedrock. Mercer has extensive background in land and business management in the oil and gas industry. He has served in local elected office and continues to be active in local associations. He served on Oklahoma’s first hydrogen task force in 2004, and was an active participant in the most recent hydrogen task force convened in 2021. He currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma City Exploration Managers Group.
Mike has provided over 30 yrs of support for drilling operations both domestically and internationally for Conoco, BHP Billiton, and Chevron. Mike has drilled wells on and off-shore, all over the world. Mike specialized in pore pressure prediction and bore hole stability, developing programs to improve drilling data quality and new methods for determining pore pressure in zones that typically yield poor results. Mike brings these planning and operational skills to Bedrock and he continues to be instrumental in the design, installation, and operation of Bedrock’s CNG storage.
